The war of 1812 is also called the second war of independence. Britain and France were battling in Europe and both were looking for allies. Countries who allied with the opposing side were thought to be enemies. For economic and political reasons, the war escalated and British troops landed in the US in a full-fledged war. Test your knowledge on the war of 1812 in the activity below.
